Mini Biography
Dino Morea was born to an Italian father and an Indian mother. Dino Moria won Gladrags Super Model Contest in 1999. But he was introduced to modeling by Prasad Bidapa and he soon received his first film offer opposite Rinkie Khanna. Dino Morea's first film "Pyar Mein kabhi Kabhi" was a flop at box office but he got breakthrough roles with the Rajiv Menon film"Kandukondain Kandukondain" and the horror film "Raaz". The film "Raaj" was super hit at box office and film offers began to pour in. Thereafter Dino Moria has acted in films such as "Gunaah", "Plan", "Insaaf", "Rakht", "Aap Ki Khatir" and "Dus Kahaniyaan". Dinu Morea's other films were not as successful as "Raaj". In most of the films he appeared as supporting actor.

Dino has appeared in several commercials including 'Close-Up' and the sizzling 'Live In jeans'. Dino Morea has also featured in Alisha Chinai music video "Vah Vah". This handsome hunk with cute dimples and a wonderful body is usually seen on the ramp of famous fashion shows.

Amrish Puri was born in Nawanshehar district of Punjab. His parents were (father) Lala Nihal Chand and (mother) Ved Kaur. Amrish Puri had two elder brothers- Chaman Puri and Madan Puri, who were also actors. After graduation, Amrish Puri came to Bombay to act in films. Amarish failed his first screen test and had to find a job with the Ministry of Labour. Meanwhile, he started acting at the Prithvi Theatre and soon he became well known stage actor.

Amrish Puri won Sangeet Natak Academy Award for his performance in theatre. Amrish got breakthrough in Hindi films at the age of 40. The first film he had signed was "Reshma Aur Shera" but his first released film was "Prem Pujari". After that he appeared in negative and character roles in a number of movies such as Shyam Benegal's "Nishant", "Manthan", Bhumika" and "Suraj Ka Satvan Ghoda". Ambrish Puri became famous in Bollywood as Mogambo from the hit film "Mr. India" directed by Shekhar Kapoor. He shaved his head for the role of the villian Mola Ram in Hollwood Movie "Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom ". It created such an impression that he kept his head shaved and became one of the most popular villains in Hindi Cinema.
Amrish Puri had a passion for collecting hats, and bought a hat or two on every foreign trip of his. He had a collection of over 200 hats from across the world.

Dilip Kumar was born at Qissa Khwani Bazaar in Peshawar (Pakistan). After partition Dileep Kumar shifted to Pune and started off with his family business of supplying dry fruits. He was spotted by famous actress of those years, Devika Rani, who was also wife of famous director and founder of Bombay Talkies, Himanshu Rai. Dilip Kumar got his first breakthrough in the film "Jwar Bhata" directed by Himanshu Rai but the film went unnoticed. He shot into fame with his first major hit film "Jugnu". In next movie "Andaz", Dilip Kumar co-starred with Raj Kapoor and the film was a huge success at box office and he became a star. Dilip Kumar is known for playing tragic roles in popular films such as "Deedar", "Amar", "Devdas" and "Madhumati". Since then he is known as "Tragedy King" in Bollywood. His historical film "Mughal- E- Azam" was highest grossing film in the history of Hindi cinema.

Mini Biography
Amol Palekar was born in a Maharashtrian Saraswat Brahmin family. He attended Sir J. J. School of art in Bombay. Amol Palekar started his acting career with the Marathi experimental stage with Satyadev Dubey. Later he established his own group "Aniket". Amol Palekar introduced street theatre in Maharashtra.

Amol made his debut in films with noted Marathi film "Shantata! Court Chalu Aahe" directed by Satyadev Dubey. He was cast by Basu Chatterjee in the movie "Rajnigandha", which led to many other such roles in middle-class comedies often directed by Chatterjee or Hrishikesh Mukherjee such as "Golmaal", "Chhoti Si Baat" and "Naram Garam". Amol Palekar turned from acting to film direction with the Marathi film "Aakriet". Since then he has directed many films which include "Ankahi", "Thodasa Rumani Ho Jaye", "Bangarwadi", "Daayraa", "Anahat", "Kairee", "Dhyaas Parva". His movie "Paheli" was India's official entry for the Oscar Awards in 2006 but did not make it to the final nominations.

Amjad Khan was born in Hyderabad to a legendry actor of 50's- Jayant. He entered the Hindi film Industry as a child artist with "Ab Dilli Dur Nahi". Before entering into films Amjed Khan was a theatre actor. His debut film was "Hindustan Ki Kasam". The film was made on the theme of Indo-Pak war of 1971. The role that immortalized Amjad Khan in Bollywood was 'Gabbar Singh' of "Sholay". 'Gabbar Singh' made Amzad Khan a household name. For the role of 'Gabbar Singh' Amjad Khan read "Abhishapth Chambal", a book on Chambal dacoits written by Taroon Kumar Bhaduri (father of actress Jaya Bhaduri). Post "Sholay" Amjad Khan acted in a number of movies in negative role opposite Amitabh Bachchan. "Parvarish", "Hum Kisi Se Kum Nahin", "Aakhri Goli", "Phool Khile Hain Gulshan Gulshan", "Muqadar Ka Sikander", "Kasme Vaade", "Heeralal Pannalal" and "Khoon Ki Pukaar" are some of those movies.

Amjad Khan also played many other unconventional roles. He played the role of helpless and deluded Wajid Ali Shah, who was nawab of Awadh, in the film "Shatranj Ke Khiladi". Amjad won critical acclaims for his performance in this film. Amzad Khan also played a positive role as friend of Amitabh Bachchan in the film "Yarana". In the film "Utsav" he portrayed the character of Vatsyana, the writer of Kamsutra, a treatise on art of love.

Besides acting in films he also tried his hand at directing films. In 1976, he met with a near fatal accident on the Bombay-Goa road, when he rammed his car into a tree while trying to avoid a boulder. The drugs administered to him for treatment caused a serious weight problem for the rest of his life. As a result of his increasing weight he died in 1992 after suffering from a heart failure at the age of 51.

Dev Anand was born at Gurdaspur in undivided Punjab to Pishorimal Anand (Advocate). After graduation, he left home and landed at Mumbai to fulfill his passion of acting in films. Devanand did job in the military censor office at Churchgate, Mumbai, for a salary of Rs. 160. Dev Anand was offered his first big break by his favorite actor Ashok Kumar in the film "Ziddi" opposite Kamini Kaushal. The film was successful and afterthat Dev Anand launched his own production company 'Navketan'. First film produced by him was crime thriller "Baazi", whiah was directed by his friend Guru Dutt. Lyricist Sahir Ludhianvi's song, 'Tadbeer se bigdi huyee taqdeer bana de', in the film proved prophetic and Dev Anand became a true star. His films "Rahee", "Aandhiyan" and "Taxi Driver" were super hit at box office.

A rapid-fire style of dialogue delivery, an array of hats and a penchant for nodding while speaking became Dev Anand's style in the films like "Munimji", "CID" and "Paying Guest". His style was lapped up by the audience and was widely imitated. His class act in the film "Kala Paani" won him Filmfare Best Actor Award. Devanand's first colour film "Guide", which was directed by his elder brother Vijay Anand, is regarded as his best work till date. He also tried his hand at film direction with the film "Hare Ram Hare Krishna" in which he introduced Zeenat Aman. The film was based on hippie culture.

Dev Anand is one of those few Indian actors/filmmakers who are politically aware and active and are ready to stand up for the cause that is dear to them. He led a group of film personalities who stood up against the Internal Emergency imposed by the then Prime Minister of India, Indira Gandhi. Most of his films are an expression of his world view and have dealt with socially relevant subjects
